Filipino Evangelical Methodist Church (FEMC) Website is an independent methodist church website launched in February 2026 by the FEMC BOT and Communication teams.

Who are we?

The Filipino Evangelical Methodist Church is an evangelical methodist denomination that opens hearts, opens minds and opens doors through active engagement with our world. The mission of FEMC is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the country and of the world.

A FEMC Methodist is someone who joins in that mission by putting faith and love into action. We believe that God loves all people, and that we share in expressing that love. We align with the Methodist tradition in emphasizing God's grace and serving others. We believe that Jesus Christ is the fullest expression of God's love--showing us the fullness of God's care through Jesus' teachings, death and resurrection.

John Wesley started the Methodist movement in 18th century England. His teachings on practical divinity (living out our faith) and appeals to reason and experience form important aspects of FEMC practice.

History of FEMC

The story of Puno Bulacan United Methodist Church, now Puno Bulacan Filipino Evangelical Methodist Church, began in the birth of a vision of one of the members and a leader, Ruth Eva Laureano, who was called to plant as she was led by the Holy Spirit and started a Bible Study in their backyard, the Laureano’s farm. After graduating in Haggai Institute’s leadership training, Sister Eva followed God’s calling to bring the Word of God in the community of Sitio Central, Brgy. Sto. Cristo. As souls began its hunger for God’s word, a mission church started as Puno UMC, now Puno FEMC supported the expansion of its ministry and started the birth of its church building in year 2012-2017. March 18, 2024 when it embraces its new identity in Christ in becoming a local church and grasping a new family last September 2, 2024.

After more than a decade of planting, nurturing, and faithfully serving the mission field in Bulacan, a new chapter was written in the life of the church. On March 18, 2024, the Puno Bulacan congregation witnessed the first-ever Church Conference in its history - an event that would mark a divine breakthrough. It was during the conference that the church was formally and officially recognized as full-fledged local church.

August 18, 2024, Puno Bulacan UMC took a bold step of faith as it aligned itself with the Filipino Evangelical Methodist Church (FEMC). This was just five months after becoming a local church. The leaders of Puno Bulacan prayerfully made a pivotal decision under the leadership of Chief Justice Reynato S. Puno.

The Church Council convened to seek God’s direction regarding their denominational affiliation and agreed to stand in unity with the Puno Main Church in transitioning from United Methodist Church (UMC) to the Filipino Evangelical Methodist Church (FEMC).

On the morning of September 2, 2024, the church gathered not just for another Worship Service - but for the first morning worship as an official congregation of the Filipino Evangelical Methodist Church. Led by Rev. Salvador G. Crisostomo, the service was filled with joy, gratitude and a renewed sense of mission. The worship not only marked a fresh beginning but also honored every step that came before: every Bible Study under the trees, every brick laid for the church building and every soul nurtured in discipleship. The congregation stood together, now as Filipino Evangelical Methodist Church, embracing both their roots and their future with open arms and hearts on fire. A new denominational home, a new identity, and yet - still the same faithful God leading every step of the way.

Statement of Faith

FEMC believes in one triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who creates, redeems, and sustains all things. Rooted in the Wesleyan tradition, FEMC emphasize that God’s grace is available to all people, offering salvation to everyone through faith in Jesus Christ, who died for the sins of all humanity. They believe in the authority of Scripture as the primary guide for faith, supplemented by tradition, experience, and reason. Central to their faith is the pursuit of "scriptural holiness" or "entire sanctification" which means loving God with all one's heart and neighbor as oneself, evidenced by both personal piety and social action

Mission and Vision

Vision: To be a diverse, welcoming community that embodies God’s grace, where people grow in faith and transform the world through love and justice.
Mission: To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world by loving boldly, serving joyfully, and leading courageously in our local community and beyond.
